Bath Time Fun

My sister saw the blog about Zoe outgrowing her old bathtub and so she bought us a bigger one. Zoe loves it because it lets her sit up more and she has more room to splash and flail (which she adores). She loves bathtime, especially at the end when she gets to look at the clean pretty girl in the mirror. Thanks, Aunt Beth!

McDaniel Farewell Cookout

The McDaniel Family (Wendy, Robert, Emily and Mara) are moving to Boca Raton at the end of the month so Aidan hosted a farewell cookout in their honor. Everyone brought sides and desserts and Aidan grilled the hotdogs and hamburgers. It was a fabulous day and Zoe was so happy to be outside surrounded by a bunch of giggly children.

Thomas and I were exhausted when we got home, but since Zoe had been asleep in the car the whole ride home, only Thomas got to take a nap. Zoe got to do some tummy time and play in her Aquarium Gym.

Grandma and Graddaddy came over later to say hey since they were in the neighborhood. All in all, it was a wonderful day with my family!

Sunday Fun

We lazed around the house a little extra this morning because we decided to go to the 7 PM church service since we woke up late and Thomas was getting off early. Zoe and I headed out to the Wal-Mart and then down to Wakulla to make Thomas and Granddaddy's Father's Day gifts (more to come on that later). Zoe had a great time at church (as usual), then we went by and visited Grandma and Granddaddy. Grandma is convinced that Zoe's first word will be Grand-Momma!!!

Ready for the Beach

Zoe is going with her daycare provider Erica and her family to Port St. Joe today to have some fun at the beach. She looks pretty sporty and ready for some rays, doesn't she? Thank you Nicole for the great new suits. They fit wonderfully.

5 Months Old - A Comparison

So, when I was five months old my parents had some pictures taken of me. This is the only picture that has survived through the years. Zoe is five months old now, what do you think? Does she look like mommy at all?

Our First Mother's Day

Mother's Day was pretty quiet for us, Thomas's mom was released from the hospital (Yay, Grandma) so I took Zoe over to visit for awhile. Zoe was sick with a fever and a stuffy nose. We made Grandma a little craft project with Zoe and Thomas's hands and a picture of the two of them.

I sent my mother a card with a great picture of Zoe that she can show off to all of her friends.

Thomas got me a very nice card and a picture frame. I can't wait to get some pictures up on the walls of our house and make it a home!

How to Catch a Cold

This must be done when Daddy is super sniffly and stuffy or it will not work.

Step 1: Get Daddy to come play with you.

Step 2: Get him to come really close.

Step 3: Convince him to kiss all up on you because you are so dang cute.

Step 4: Now, bite his nose and make sure you get all those germy germs.

Step 5: Yep, got it!

Having Dinner with Grandma

We went to Grandma's house and Zoe got to have Grandma feed her for a change. She ate the whole thing and was begging for more. Thomas got her the stage two applesauce instead of the Stage one, but she handled it pretty well.

Grandma is having surgery tomorrow and will be in the hospital for Monther's Day so she got to get one of her gifts a little early.

Another New Toy

Zoe is finally big enough and coordinated enough for her Johnny Jump Up. This is the toy that I have been most anxiously waiting to use. We got it from the baby shower (thanks Renae and the Whitehurst family). I can put her in it when I need to clean and she can play for awhile so I can get things done.

She really likes the toy on it, it spins, plays music, and has lots of flashy lights (all of our little girls favorite things). She also likes to jump up and spin herself around. Who knows, we may just have the world's next prima donna on our hands!

Such a Big Girl

Zoe is growing up so fast, it's hard to believe she is only 4 months old. She likes Apples and Sweet Potatoes but will only take the rice cereal if it's mixed with the apples.

We are trying to get her entered to win a photo contest with Parents magazine. You can vote for her here To vote, just click on "recommend" right above her picture. Thanks!
