Summer Skin, Dove, AND An Awesome Giveaway!!

This summer has been extremely hard on my skin, between the poison ivy, the steroids, creams, and antibiotics to treat the poison ivy, our hard water issue, and a few times out in the sun just a tad too long, my skin has been one dry irritable mess lately.

It's also not a secret that I don't make myself a priority in our household. I don't buy things that are just for me to use, and if for some reason, I have a coupon that makes body wash nearly free, I will buy a scent that the entire family will enjoy rather than splurging on just me.

It wasn't always this way, when I was in my twenties with money to spare, I was obsessed with my skin, doing facials, buying girly, girly body washes, soaps, and lotions, but, since becoming a mom, I have been hard pressed to find the money or time to treat myself.

I needed a change.

So, when Dove® asked me to try out one of their body washes and write a review I was excited, but hesitant.

The product that they sent me was Dove® VisibleCare Softening Créme Body Wash, the first morning after I received the bottle, I decided to shower alone for a change (typically, my mini-shadow is doing everything I do). Once I popped open the cap, I knew that this was not going to be used by anyone but me as the aromas of magnolia and jasmine wafted through the shower. This body wash is thick, thicker than any I have seen before, but with our hard water issues I didn't have to use a lot to go a LONG way. The rich lather felt really smooth and silky on my skin and I was very excited about the potential long (solo) showers in my future.

I felt like such a girl  woman again, pretty, soft, and feminine and I noticed a change in the softness in my skin right away.

Over the next few weeks, friends, colleagues, even the Hubs (!) have complimented my gorgeous skin!

I am very excited to keep using Dove® VisibleCare line going forward (and making the decision to treat myself a little) and am also elated to share with you a before and after shot of my skin.
