Sippy Cups
After weeks of trying to find the right sippy cups for Zoe, we have finaly found that the cheapest cup is the way to go. (Note to self: Try the cheap ones first!) She loves this cup by Nuby, it's soft silicone (perfect to bite on) and easier to use and clean (none of these silly leak proof stoppers). I tried to show her how to use it correctly, but she kept swatting me away.
So headstrong and independent, I wonder where she gets it from.

Our Weekend
On Saturday, we went to Melissa and Vito's house for Malcolm's seventh birthday party. Zoe had a great time playing with all the toys, rolling around on the floor, and watching all of the action. Afterward, she and Thomas went to his parent's while I went to work.
Today, we went to church and then Zoe and I hung out all afternoon, playing and singing songs. She has this new funny face that she does that just cracks me up.
Such a Happy Baby!!!

7 Months Old!
Zoe is seven months old now. I can't believe how fast time has flown. She sits up well unsupported and rolls all over the place. She doesn't actually crawl but man she can move. She is grabbing and snatching everything she can.
She can pick up cheerios from the tray, but they never actually make it into her mouth, which is pretty darn funny to watch. She gets pretty mad that she is trying so hard to get the cheerio into her mouth and then drops it at the last second, so that activity only lasts about 20 minutes or so.
Her favorite new toy right now is a regular rubber ball. She likes the sound it makes when she bangs on it and she likes to roll it to daddy so he can roll it back to her. Speaking of Daddy, she calls him "Dad" and when he is home says it over and over. When he is not there, she doesn't say it at all.

Our First Trip to the Pool
Zoe loves to takes baths and splash in the water and since the heat has been sweltering as of late, Jolene and I decided to take the kids to the public pool today after church. Zoe loved it and we ended up being there for four hours!! She splashed, giggled, squealed, kicked and paddled. She is ready for her swimming lessons.
Swimming tires a little girl out.
Our First Play Date
Zoe and I trekked out to Quincy to see her godparents Tanna and Tyrell today. She rolled around and played for a while at their house and had some yummy mixed berry applesauce. Later the Baker's took us over to meet their friend Melanie and her baby girl Maggie. Maggie is two days older than Zoe. They pretty much just looked at one another and tried to roll over the other one. We had a lot of fun and Zoe was beat by the time that we got back home that evening. In fact, she slept through our entire trip to the grocery store with Jolene!

Teething, teething and more teething...
Zoe got her first tooth on the 4th of July. It wasn't a big deal, we didn't even know that she was teething. Now the tooth right next to it is coming in and she is letting us know in a big way. She didn't sleep at all on Thursday night, in fact she and I just chilled out on the living room floor just in case I did happen to fall asleep. (You can't fall off the floor, you know.)

Happy Fourth of July
Zoe got her first tooth today! I guess that explains the strange sleeping habits that she has had lately. I love this picture of her, she can do that funny thing with her eyebrow that Thomas does.
We went to John and Heather's house for a barbecue and fireworks to celebrate the fourth of July this year. Zoe loves hanging out over there, she is the center of Madison and Nolan's attention (and they have all the cool toys!).

Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Today is Thomas's birthday and once again my family was featured in the local news, the video which will be up shortly will be here. I am planning an extra special surprise for Thomas when we get home tonight. I will post more about that later.
Since today is Zoe's last day of the week at daycare, I decked her out in patriotic fashion. Thank you Wendy for the fabulous homemade hand me downs.

Too cute in the morning
Zoe is so cute when she gets up in the morning. I am not sure how I tear myself away from her all day.
She is a big girl now, instead of me nursing her at lunch she is having a regular food lunch (well, baby food). Yesterday she and Tyler shared a jar of appelesauce and a jar of butternut squash.
Yum, two of her most favorite foods!
