Pillows for the Babies

Zoe's class is ready to move from the baby room to the toddler room. In the toddler room, they will no longer have cribs to sleep on but will take their naps on mats on the floor. I really wanted the kids to have something soft to cuddle up with so I made them all their own pillow, personalized with their names on them. They won't see them until mid-August when the "graduate" but I am very excited that they will love them.

Happy Fourth of July!

It's Independence Day! Check out my super duper Miss Independent.

Today we went to the flea market and then drove down to Wakulla for some shopping and lunch. Later we had barbecued chicken, pasta salad, corn on the cob and garlic bread. Sara and Blake came over for dinner and fireworks. It was the first time that we have done the 4th of July at home and a great time was had by all!

Daddy's BIG 3-0

Thomas's birthday is today and to celebrate we took the weekend off. It all started with a very special birthday message from Zoe and I:

Later in the morning, after a nice breakfast of blueberry muffins and fresh fruit, we went to the beach.

Zoe loved the beach and kept trying to make a break for it. As you can see, the beach was mostly vacant so it was a nice peaceful time with our family.

When we left, all that we left behind was our footprints. (Thomas's on the right, Zoe's center, mine on the left)

Later, after we had cleaned all of the sand and salt from our bodies and ate lunch (mmmm...okra)! We headed over to Grandma and Granddaddy's house for a visit.
