Springtime Tallahassee
We took Zoe downtown for her Springtime Tallahassee debut. She got to attend her very first Sarah Mac Band concert. (If you don't know Sarah Mac or have never heard her music, you are truly missing out and you should click this link NOW. They are one of our favorite bands, and Zoe loves Sarah Mac.
We also got to to enjoy the great, warm Tallahassee weather and see some people that we have not seen in a while. Thomas's parents joined us for lunch and a stroll through the park. It was a fabulous day and we were all good and worn out once we got home.

100 Days Old
Zoe is 100 days old today. She is getting so big.
She is wearing an outfit from Kim that just looks warm and snuggly. She has been sleeping through the night (if you consider 11:30-5:30 through the night)this whole week and is really falling into a good schedule.
Our daycare provider Erica said that she is a happy smiley baby throughout the day as long as they stick to her schedule.

Visitors
Thomas bought Zoe an Easter present this weekend so that she wouldn't be bored in her playpen. We got it all set up and Zoe loves it. She has learned that she can kick the ball, and grab at the fish and they will make music. She loves to feel things, and put things in her mouth.
Xenia and Jordan came in from South Florida tonight to visit us and check out the baby. They brought along their daughter, 17 month old Tatiana (her birthday is the day before mine!). Tatiana was enamored with the baby and really wanted to put shoes on her feet (over and over). I wish they lived closer so we could see them more often.

Sick Baby
Zoe has her first official cold.
She was running a little temperature so we called Urgent Care at CHP to find out if she could have some Tylenol. They said it would be better if we brought her in. They did blood work, an X-Ray (her first professional pictures!)and a urine test to make sure that she did not have any kind of infection. They said, yes, Tylenol is fine and sent us on our way.
When we got home there were six calls from the Urgent Care saying that they had detected a hernia and that we needed to come pick up the X-Rays and take them straight to the Emergency Room. Panic ensued and 6 hours later we were released from the Emergency Room, nothing was wrong we just had an overly cautious X-Ray tech.
Zoe is fine now, the Tylenol broke her fever and she is ready to go to church tomorrow for Easter Sunday.

Newborn No Longer
Zoe is 3 months (13 weeks) old today. This is officially the end of the newborn phase. She is exceeding all of the developmental milestones that she should. Check here to see what she should be doing: Developmental Milestones. In fact, she is doing a lot of the four month old milestones as well.
She now weighs a little over 13 pounds and has started daycare.
You better watch out, the Easter Bunny is coming...

Out On the Town
We went to a barbecue farewell shindig for Thomas's work today and then hopped over to Jennifer's to drop off some outgrown clothes.
Zoe loves to be outside. Whenever she starts to fuss, I take her out on the deck and she stops instantly. She also loves to people watch, so if you are holding her you have to make sure she can see all the action or she is going to get mad pretty quick. Little Miss Personality!

Back to Work - Take 2
I went back to work today (again). It makes it really hard to leave her like this especially when I am still not feeling like my old self. I had to have a CT scan today so I am not going to be able to feed her anything but formula this week. Hopefully they will figure out what is wrong with me soon.
When I got home tonight she was as tired as I am so we curled up to watch some TV and get some sleep. She's so cuddly!

Sick Leave
I know it has been a while since I last posted. Since then I was put into the hospital and had to have an emergency gallbladder removal. Zoe is happy because it means that mommy is not going to that job again, but I am upset because it means that it will take us that much longer to get on the schedule we need to be on.
While I was in the hospital Zoe had to have her first set of shots. She was rather glassy eyed, but not really fussy or feverish. I think she handled it pretty well. She now weighs 12 lbs, 8.5 oz. Such a big girl these days.
Anyway this is us just getting recuperated and ready to face the big, bad world once again.
